HIGH QUALITY: Our palm leaf plates are made of the fallen leaves of the arcea palm. The plates are cut out of the middle of the plam leaf and pressed into shape by heat. Think of a cookie cutter - one palm leaf gives a couple of big plates and several small items. Each plate is inspected and the rims are grinded to ensure a smooth surface. All plates are hand made.
SUSTAINABILITY: Not only that our palm leaf plates come from the fallen leaves, we only use clear water and no chemicals to wash the leaves. The plates are 100% compostable within 90 days. Our tableware is USDA certified and proudly carries the BioPrefered label. The production is organized under high social responsibility standards. So, you can use our palmware with a CLEAR CONSCIENCE.
STURDINESS: Our plates are strong enough to cut a steak on your knees, the bowls are sturdy enough to hold hot soup, they hold up to liquids for at least 30 minutes without loosing their form. Our palmware is robust, water-impenetrable, shape-stable, cut-resistant and more stable than ordinary paper plates and is therefore also suitable for greasy and sauces-containing food.
