Our Patent Pending Dual Ball Valve Technology uses one ball valve for the water path and a second ball valve for the air path. When it is closed, it is fully leak proof, even with carbonated beverages. When open, there is a wide water path and an unrestricted air path, so drinking is as easy as drinking form a straw in a glass. The insulation in the ParaValve lid will keep hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold longer than an uninsulated straw lid. In fact, our temperature testing shows that the ParaValve lid insulates as well as an insulated screw lid, but is much more convenient. You paid the money for a vacuum insulated stainless steel bottle, do you really want to use an uninsulated lid? Safe for hot liquids. For your health and safety, we recommend temperatures of 140 deg. F. (60 deg C) or less. Liquid hotter than that can burn your mouth. The insulation also minimizes condensation, to further help keep your car seat, purse or backpack dry.
