Building on the success and popularity of its best-selling Madagascar Bourbon and Pure Vanilla Bean Pastes, Nielsen-Massey has expanded its line to include Tahitian Pure Vanilla Bean Paste.

Tahitian Pure Vanilla Bean Paste is crafted from Nielsen-Massey's Tahitian Pure Vanilla Extract, along with real bean specks from the vanilla pod. This vanilla origin is a favorite among pastry chefs around the world for its floral, fruity flavor profile that is often described as anise- or cherry-like.

As Tahitian vanilla is susceptible to heat, Nielsen-Massey's proprietary cold-extraction process is the ideal way to preserve its unique flavor compounds. While it can be used in heated applications, the delicate flavor of Tahitian pure vanilla is best exemplified in refrigerated and frozen foods.

It can be used as a direct, one-to-one replacement for extract when you want the distinctive look of vanilla bean specks. The paste's thick consistency, similar to molasses, allows for the addition of delicious vanilla flavor without thinning out batters or sauces. Applications ideas include:

Ice cream, gelato, fruit pie, pudding, custard, pastry cream, yogurt, oatmeal, salad dressing, beurre blanc sauce for seafood, smoothies, shakes, lattes, martinis, margaritas, gin fizzes

About Tahitian Vanilla
Vanilla grown in French Polynesia and Papua New Guinea is the Vanilla tahitensis orchid species. These vanilla beans are typically plump, moist and known for being larger than Madagascar beans. To bring out their unique flavor, they are cured differently than vanilla grown in Madagascar or Mexico.
