The ballotin box was invented by Jean Neuhaus and his wife Louise Agostini in 1915. It was designed as an attractive way to present the pralines nestled inside and to protect them on their way from the chocolate boutique to their lucky recipient.
The 1/4 lb box contains approximately 8 pralines including:
Méphisto: Almond and hazelnut praliné with caramelized hazelnut pieces in milk chocolate
Napoléonette: Milk chocolate with a smooth Arabica coffee praliné filling
Satan: Almond and hazelnut praliné with caramelized hazelnut pieces in intense dark chocolate
Coeur Praliné: A heart-shaped Belgian milk chocolate praline with an almond and hazelnut praliné - from Neuhaus with love
Sapho: A rich milk chocolate and California almond praliné
Figaro Dark: Dark chocolate with praliné from roasted hazelnuts from the Black Sea coast
Prestige: A beautiful balance of rich milk chocolate and a luxurious pale caramel
