The TreeStand Wingman is a revolutionary fall arrest / emergency descender system that protects hunters from tree stand injury. When coupled with a tree stand safety harness is has been proved to reduce suspension trauma or death from a tree stand related fall. The device can be used while climbing, hunting, & even descending into a tree stand. It protects a hunter from getting stranded in the tree while using a typical tree stand safety harness. TreeStand Wingman will protect against compression injuries, suspension injuries, and fall injuries.
Directions
1) Wrap the webbing around the tree and thread through the unit through the end loop in the webbing until the Wingman unit is about 1 foot from the tree.
2) At ground level hook your TMA approved body harness lanyard to the TreeStand Wingman metal loop with a locking carabiner
3) As you move up the tree, move the webbing up with you keeping the slack to a minimum.
4) Upon reaching your hunting height adjust the webbing leaving just enough slack to allow you to sit. (excess slack in the event of a fall will increase the impact force felt on the human body increasing the chance of serious injury or death!!)
5) If you experience a fall during your hunt you can either allow the system to lower you to the ground or slow the descent or stop it by putting pressure on the webbing with your hand.
